My name is Gucci, I am a Chinese Crested (hairless) and I was born on August 15, 2008, out of Champ. Silver Bluff FIVE O'CLOCK SHADOW "Cole" and Silver Bluff STRAIGHT TO THE TOP "Tippy" together with some other hairless and powderpuff sibblings. According to my pedigree my name is Daretobebare's GUCCI, TAKE MY BREATH AWAY.

I am from the USA and came to Austria on December 26, 2008 (together with my friend Zoey for Mum's friend Gabi).

The first try to get me and Zoey to our new homes was already one week earlier. The intention was to fly out of Chicago directly to Munich. On Dec. 18, 2008, very early in the morning, we left Excelsior Springs and drove many hours till we reached Chicago Airport. But as the weather was bad and the airlines have restrictions, they did not take us with them. Strange, since if there would have been a passenger with us, we could have gone on the plane. Well, we went all the way back to Excelsior Springs with a stop in a hotel to spend the night there and then on the next morning continued the trip to Kiko's home (Zoey's breeder). Mum was a bit disappointed, she really had been looking forward to pick me up from Munich on the next day, but what can one do against restrictions and, especially, against mother nature?

While waiting in Chicago if we would be able to fly or not, Kiko checked for other airlines and found out that we could fly from Atlanta/Georgia directly to Munich a week later, so she made a reservation for Zoey and myself. She would at that time anyway drive to Florida, so the airport would be on her way. Atlanta has much warmer weather than Chicago and the chance that it would not turn really bad within a week was rather big. Finally, on Christmas Eve, Kiko and Kyle left with us and dropped us at the Atlanta Airport on December 25, 2008. In the early evening we flew direction Munich and arrived there in the morning of December 26, 2008, where my mum was already expecting me very yearningly. We drove to Austria and met Mum's friend Gabi, to drop Zoey with her, and then Mum drove home with me. What an exciting trip and what an exciting week with one trip in vain.

Now I live together with five others of my breed - Voodoo, Ula, Naomi, her half-sister Fidji (all hairless) and Jaris (powderpuff) - as well as some Yorkies and Briards at Mum Gerda.

My breeder and Mum hope that I am also turning to be a show dog - I have the genetic fingerprint for that. We will see ...... But however I am going to develope: I will be loved as I am. I have already attended some shows with good results. You can find more about that in my site Gucci's Shows.

For Mum I am the first dog from the United States of America and Mum is proud that I have come to her. She thanks my breeder Mary Ann that she sent me to her and she will keep her up to date about everything from me. And she thanks Kiko that she had scores of phone calls to check the best flight for me and exchanged countless mails with Mum, that she stood by side with any information, that she arranged everything around my trip, and that she took me to her home so that I could get to know Zoey before our shared trip.

I really enjoy life here and we all undertake many things together. Until now there is not much to report about me, as I am only here since a short time, but the sites about me will for sure be filled in time.
