Shortly before the change of year it turned out that we are going to have a new family member in April 2010: Keanu, a three years old stud from the USA. His flight has already been booked, now it's only the weeks that have to pass by fast till he arrives here. We have big hopes that Keanu (Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) is a great kennel enrichment. In the next day some photos shall come which will then find their place here in the homepage.

A heartfelt thank you to Mark and Carol for the trust that Keanu can come and will have his new home here. We are incredibly pleased about him.

Ula (Champ. Family Song's ULA) and our American friend Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY) are back with mum from the show weekend in Croatia. Unfortunately once again Ula did not succeed in finishing her Championship. Still, the results were not bad, they can be found in the sites Ula's show results and Steel's show results. A sincere congratulation from us, even though the exhibitors and mum are not too happy.

Now the show season 2009 is finished and there is a rest from long trips. We will enjoy the time at home, and hope that the new show season will bring the desired championship for Ula as well as more nice success for Steel in Europe. Till soon ...... when there are news again from us.

Today some important health examinations took place for Jaris, Gucci (Daretobebare's GUCCI, TAKE MY BREATH AWAY) and Zoey (Daretobebares FLY ME TO THE MOON). All details in our breeding page. For Jaris it was the decisive step, as with this last examination she fulfils all prerequisites for the breeding confirmation, and now she is fully confirmed for breeding in Austria. Big congratulation from all of us!

Yesterday there was County Winner Show in Tulln/A. Mum was there with Jaris, she needed that result for the Austrian breeding confirmation. And she got it: Jaris went Exc. 1 CACA and, therewith, has done her second last step towards breeding confirmation. A heartfelt congratulation from all of us.

LaToya Liberty, a daughter of Ula (Champ. Family Song's ULA), was also shown successfully. She has turned to be a real beautiful girl, and Mum brought home a picture from her which can now be seen in the Photo Gallery of the L litter.

Of course lots of friends were met, even such ones which Mum had non seen for quite a long time, for exapmple some from the time when she still went to several dog training places with our Briard friends. And her dear friend Gerli, with whom she had spent two days at the occasion of the last two shows in Croatia, was also there.

A successful nice day indeed, which we, who had stayed at home, also enjoyed totally, as we could be outside in the garden with the sun shining.

Mum is back home from the show weekend in Croatia. Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY) had his European Show Debut in Vukovar (national show) and Osijek (international show); Ula (Champ. Family Song's ULA) has joined them. It shall have been a nice weekend, Mum has met her dear friends Gerli and Rudi and the time off from the shows they enjoyed in the same accommodation with a great host.

Steel's first show results in Europe are great: Saturday in Vukovar Exc. 2 Res. CAC and Sunday in Osijek Exc. 1 CAC CACIB. We all congratulate heartfelt to this great appearance in the European Show scene! All details to the shows can be found in the site Steel's Show results.

Let's see what we can report next time. In the meantime we all enjoy each day in the garden and hope that the weather remains that beautiful for a long time. Till soon!

Mum is back home from her summer holidays in the USA. We can hear that she has enjoyed each single day over there and has experienced much. She has been living at the breeder of Zoey (Daretobebares FLY ME TO THE MOON), finally met Mary Ann, the breeder Gucci (Daretobebare's GUCCI, TAKE MY BREATH AWAY) personally - just as another breeder of the kennel Daretobebare - and also met lots of friends of the "group". On the first four days of her stay she has been at the dog show in Kansas City. Of course she also brought lots of things with her which are not available here in Europe - for us, for our Briard friends and for herself. Every day she was out and about and has seen much of Missouri and Kansas. Because she liked it so very much, it's already planned that she flies there again in May 2011.

And we are pleased to announce that Mum has brought one of our breed with her, a stud from Kiko, the breeder of our Zoey: since September 2, 2009, Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY - he is the grandfather of Zoey) is with us for about two years on breeding station and he is also here to be shown in Europe. Therefore, Mum has set up a page for Steel, and she has already planned the first shows with him. Steel has settled in quite good already and he feels good in our crew.

Mum thanks Kiko and all the other breeders of the kennel Daretobebare for the trust and the fortune to have this beautiful boy here with us. She really appreciates this obligingness very much.

Only two weeks after the first birthday of Zoey, her half-sister, our Gucci (Daretobebare's GUCCI, TAKE MY BREATH AWAY), celebrates the same special day: she is one year old.

Happy Birthday, dear Gucci. It's natural that you will be spoiled very much today, and we will all take care that you can enjoy this day as much as possible.

Mum wants to thank Gucci's breeder Mary Ann again for placing confidence in her, so that this girl can be with us. And: Mum looks very much forward to meet Mary Ann and Kiko (Zoey's breeder) in the next couple of days, and that she can spend two great weeks with Kiko and her family.

Today is a big day for our Zoey (Daretobebares FLY ME TO THE MOON): she celebrates her first birhtday, the last birthday celebration of this month, the fourth all in all in our pack.

A very happy birthday from all of us, and of course also from Mum, espially healthiness for a life time. To have Zoey here is really great und we don't want to miss one single day with her.

Mum is back home from the long show weekend in Split - je was joined by Ula (Champ. Family Song's ULA), Zoey (Daretobebares FLY ME TO THE MOON) and our dear neighbour Alex. They had a great accommodation outside of Split, sight to the sea, a wonderful garden, parking space in the garage, not far to go shopping and very dear hosts, who allowed to harvest anything that was ready (strawberries and tomatoes) and who spoiled them with ice cream.

The shows were four night long, twice CAC and twice CACIB. It was a bit strenuous to be on the show area already in the late afternoon, to catch a parking space (paid) and a space for the tent, the dog crate and all the stuff which is usually with us at a show. It was hot, hot, hot ...... and Mum says that she will never again expect something like that from us dogs if it is again under such circumstances. Thank goodness this year she bought a ventilator for the dog crate, which works with power supply as well as with batteries. This way Ula and Zoey did not only have air condition in the car (Mum has non), but also on the show ground.

Ula once again did not have too much luck ...... well, that is how it goes from time to time. Luckily she did not need wins, as she can only start her run for the Croation Championship later this year. You can find the results in the site Ula's Show Results.

Anyway, we are happy that they all arrives safe and sound at home.

Today it's a very sad day here: My (Voodoo) very best friend Zabou had to go over the Rainbow Bridge today in the morning shortly before 9 a.m. Mum has a broken heart, she cannot yet believe that our darling is not longer here. At the moment we ask ourselves how things shall continue here. Zabou was an extremely outstanding Briard girl and will be missed here forever ... from all of us, as she was something special ...

Last Friday Mom left with Ula (Champ. Family Song's ULA), Zoey (Daretobebares FLY ME TO THE MOON) and Gucci (Daretobebare's GUCCI, TAKE MY BREATH AWAY) for the show weekend in Portoroz/Slovenia. Ula and Zoey were shown, Gucci joined just for company. The weather was not really as it should have been, but they met friends and could get to know some new people. Unfortunately for Ula things were absolutely not as we had thought: on both days she got Exc. 3. For Zoey it was much better: Saturday Exc. 2 and Sunday Exc. 1 Best Junior.

For the moment until end of July there is an end of shows, and we all look forward to great tolling and playing in the garden.

Last weekend was again Show Weekend. Mum drove on Friday before noon with Jaris, Gucci and Zoey to Croatia, and Gucci and Jaris have then attended two CACIB Shows in Varazdin. Both our girls came back home with nice success: Gucci got on both days Exc. 1 and was also Best Junior on Saturday (this time she was already in Junior Class), Jaris did not have a real good day on Saturday, but on Sunday got Exc. 2, Res. CAC. Of course all the details about the shows are in the sites Gucci's Show results and Jaris' Show results. As the other ones of us have heard, this shall have been again a nice weekend and our travelers have met again lots of friends and had fun.

In two weeks there is a trip again and shows. Latest by then there will for sure be news from here.

Today is a sad day for Mum and Dad: they had to let go our Briard friend Whoopy over the Rainbow Bridge. In spite of her will to live and her strong fighting spirit, in spite of the temporary recovery of her condition, the girl did not make it nearly three weeks after her surgery - the efforts of our vets and the blood transfusions of Courage and Frizzy helped only for short.

We all try hard that our humans will fairly get over the pain about the loss of Whoopy and that the memories of beautiful years with her will predominate.

Our Whoopy will be cremated on May 20, 10 a.m., and then she will be on her favorite place forever with us.

The past weeks have been hectic and partly very nerve-racking for Mum: our Briard family member Whoopy had an emergency surgery in the night of April 27, and only survived because of the great commitment of our vets Jana and Palo and because of the blood transfusions of our other Briard family members Courage and Frizzy.

Therefore, everything that happened only today - beginning with the most actual news:

Yesterday evening Mum came back home with Jaris and Gucci from the double CACIB show in Umag/Croatia, where she had left to on Friday. They say it was a nice weekend and our two girls were also successful: Gucci got on both days the result very promising 1 - Best Puppy of Breed, Jaris got very good 1 on Saturday and excellent 1 - Best Junior on Sunday. Of course we all congratulate the two sincerely.

On May 3, Ula's daughter Liza Minnelli was here for visiting us. Unfortunately the little mouse tolled so very fast through the garden with us, that most of the pictures did not turn out well.

On May 2 we received photos of Ula's son LeeRoy Loomes from Slovenia (thanks to Gaja for having sent them). So there are some new pictures in the Slide Show of Ula's third litter.

For Zoey the new slide show Zoey's Youth has been set up with two actual photos.

So far latest news from here. Whoopy has recovered fine and we hope that her next check is so good, that she can go off the pills which she still has to take.

On Apr. 23, 2009, a new family member moved here: Zoey, the half sister of our Gucci. Both of them had their trip from America to Austria together.

Now the sites of Zoey in our homepage are nearly finished and you can admire the beautiful girl. There are already photo galleries of her (Zoey's Childhood, Baby Zoey and Zoey's Shows), her pedigree, and a photo album of the family. The text about her introduction is still under construction by Mum. Zoey feels already rather comfortable here and we all toll around in the garden with great weather since two days. For Mum Zoey is another very promising enrichment of our kennel Caipirinha's.

Thanks a lot to Gabi, that this girl now is part of our family.

Several things happened last weekend:

Ula's son LeeRoy Loomes, the last hairless boy of her litter, has left his birthplace on Saturday April 4, and moved to Gaja, her family and two Samoyeds to Slovenia. We wish the little boy all the very best and his family lots of luck and joy with him. Now there are only the two powderpuff boys Lee Marvin and Lorenzo Lamas with us.

One day before LeeRoy left us, Mum has taken some photos of him. They can now be found in the Puppies' Photo Gallery. Of all the others of us maybe pictures are taken during the coming weekend when we will again spend many hours in the garden, as since one week the weather is summerly.

On Sunday April 5, Ula had her first appearance of this year in the show ring, not to be shown, but she attended the special selection of the Austrian Toy Breed Club at the occasion of the international show in Wieselburg and passed with excellent result. She is now selected in Austria. We all are mighty proud of our girl. In the next days she will receive her diploma which of course will be published at her show results.

More news maybe after the coming weekend. You will get to know it.

This weekend two more of our puppies moved to their new homes: on Friday Liza Minnelli to Vienna and today Lionel Richie to Upper Austria. We wish both of them all the very best and thank their owners that they decided for puppies from us. Lots of luck and happiness for them with their new family members.

Three of our youngsters are still available to excellent homes: the hairless boy LeeRoy Loomes and both the powderpuff boys Lee Marvin and Lorenzo Lamas.

Yesterday Ula's puppies have been 9 weeks old. Mum has taken photos again and put the new pictures into the Photo Gallery Puppies. The litter control was also yesterday: All puppies are absolutely according to standard and have correct bites with all incisors.

And today the first puppy left us, to move to the new home: LaToya Liberty now lives in Upper Austria with Alexandra and Roland together with the two Chihuahuas Blacky and Joker. As we have heard, the small mouse is already tolling around and about with Joker and has lots of fun. We all wish LaToya all the very best in her new family and look forward to the first photos. Mum thanks Alexandra and Roland for the trust in our kennel and that they give this sweet girl a home.

Yesterday Ula's puppies have been 7 weeks old, and today they have been in the garden for the first time, because finally it was not wet, not windy and not freezing cold, but a sunny afternoon. After the exhibition outside pictures were taken which can now be admired in the Photo Gallery.

Yesterday our puppies have been 7 weeks old. The Photo Gallery has been updated with new pictures today.

It's already rather funny in the puppy room, the small ones play and toll around, it is a pleasure to watch them. We all were already allowed to visit them, but they are so very impetuous and bite so much intensitve, that we prefer to keep distance. Tomorrow they are going to have their first shot, so they are for the first time on tour with the car with full awareness and will go through their first "bad" experience, the poor little ones.

Ula (Ch. Family Song's ULA), the proud mother of the L litter of our kennel Caipirinha's, celebrates her 4th Birthday today. A heartfelt congratulation from all of us, dear Ula. And now that your children are already one month old, you can spend more time for yourself and relax. You have done a great job with raising the small ones - sweet little rascals!!!

Mum is sick and has also been in hospital for some days, that's why there were no new photos of the puppies last weekend. This will be fetched later when Mum is feeling better again.

The puppies of Ula have been three weeks old yesterday. Reason enough to take new photos.

The little rascals now try already to go and sit, they have their first tries to play and they start taking the offered additional food. This is still a bit chaotic, as they sit more inside the bowl than besides, but they like it.

On January 10, time had finally come. Our Ula has whelped her puppies.

She kept Mum up all night long, because from midnight on she turned to be more and more restless, and at 3:22 a.m. finally the first puppy was born. They are 6: 2 males hairless, 2 males powderpuff and 2 females hairless. We can hear them from time to time, but we are not yet allowed to see them, we have to wait a little bit.

Of courste the first photos are already available and a newly set up Puppy Slide Show. As we know Mum, this album will be frequently updated with new pictures. Just take a look from time to time and see our family offspring growing up.

Today we have the first birthday celebration in the new year: Our Naomi is 2 years of age. From all of us the most heartfelt congratulations, dear Naomi. We will spoil you very much today, and we will all have a good time together.
